We believe democracy works best when people are informed, engaged, and connected. That’s why we focus on building strong communication channels, backing accountability efforts, and giving people tools they can actually use. Whether it’s supporting candidates with real integrity, investing in new media, or creating space for civic action, our goal is to strengthen democracy from the ground up—and lift up the leaders and movements shaping its future.
We engage a dedicated audience of politically active individuals who are committed to strengthening democracy—through smart fundraising, timely civic education, and community training and engagement
What We Do
Agenda4Democracy connects people to bold ideas, civic action, and the leaders building democracy’s future. From thought-provoking salons to 60-second civic boosts, our initiatives meet people where they are—and help them move democracy forward.
Salon Series: Real conversations with the people shaping our democracy.
Since 2020, our online Salon Series has featured journalists, whistleblowers, election defenders, and civic visionaries. We spotlight truth-tellers and changemakers—so our community stays informed, engaged, and ready to act. Past guests include: John Dean, Marc Elias, Larry Diamond, the Washington Post Fact Checkers, and more.
Strategic Fundraising: We raise money where it matters.
Since 2017, A4D has raised millions to support democracy defenders up and down the ballot. We focus on candidates and causes that lead with integrity, courage, and vision. In today’s political landscape, some fundraising operations capitalize on Democratic urgency and donor enthusiasm by pouring money into races that are emotionally compelling but strategically unwinnable.

Our Story
A4D began in 2017 as a small group committed to strengthening democracy at every level. Since then, we've grown into a network of organizers, donors, and everyday people who believe that civic action still matters—and that democracy is worth fighting for.
